As the Director of Skills for the Moose, Erich Jaeger brings a wealth of experience and a passion for player development to the rink. From the picturesque landscapes of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Erich fell in love with the game at a young age, carving out a path that would lead him to both collegiate and junior success.
Erich honed his skills at the highest levels of competition, playing Division 1 hockey for the Air Force Academy. It was here that he left an indelible mark, contributing to consecutive Atlantic Hockey titles in 2014 and 2015 with two elite eight appearances. His dedication, work ethic, and leadership were instrumental in his team's triumphs, setting the stage for his transition to coaching.
Prior to his collegiate career, Erich showcased his talent in the fast-paced environment of junior hockey, spending two seasons playing for the Wichita Falls Wildcats in the North American Hockey League. This experience provided him with invaluable insights into the nuances of the game and reinforced his commitment to excellence.
As a coach, Erich is driven by a profound desire to not only cultivate exceptional athletes but also to nurture well-rounded individuals. His coaching philosophy revolves around fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment where players can thrive both on and off the ice. Whether it's refining skating techniques, honing stickhandling skills, or instilling the importance of teamwork, Erich is dedicated to empowering his players to reach their full potential.
Beyond the Xs and Os, Erich is renowned for his mentorship, instilling discipline, resilience, and sportsmanship in those under his guidance. His ability to forge meaningful connections with his players transcends the confines of the rink, leaving a lasting impact that extends far beyond the game itself.
